The centenary of the birth of Leonard Bernstein is Aug 25! Join us for the celebration and watch his "Meditation No. 3" performed by cellist Nicholas Canellakis and pianist Michael Brown, his piano trio (2nd movement) played by the Neave Trio, and an arrangement of "Tonight" from his "West Side Story" performed by Geoffrey Simon and the London Cello Orchestra.

In celebration of World Environment Day on Jun 5, join the winning team of our 6th Listeners' Choice Award, Marc Coppey with conductor Kirill Karabits and Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, for a walk through the Bohemian Forest in Dvořák's "Silent Woods". Next, journey through the Latvian plains with the trio of Eva Bindere, Kristīna Blaumane and Reinis Zariņš in Pēteris Vasks' "Plainscapes"; then re-visit the American frontier and reminisce a bygone era with Mark O'Connor, Yo-Yo Ma and Edgar Meyer in O'Connor's "Appalachia Waltz"!

Let's watch Elinor Frey (nominee of our 6th Listeners' Choice Award) with harpsichordist Geneviève Soly perform Carl Friedrich Abel's Sonata in G Major (3rd movement) at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Mihai Marica play Ligeti's Sonata for Solo Cello (1st movement) on a mid-19th century cello by Jean Baptiste Vuillaume from the musical instrument collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Gary Hoffman with pianist Ilan Rechtman and violinist Arnaud Sussmann perform Mendelssohn's Piano Trio No. 1 (1st movement) at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

World Radio Day
In celebration of World Radio Day on Feb 13, join us for three special performances produced by National Public Radio in Washington DC, Radio România Muzical in Bucharest, and France Musique in Paris. First let's start with NPR Music Field Recordings of Alisa Weilerstein playing the Prelude from Bach's fifth cello suite at the National Aquarium, then to a recital organized by Radio România Muzical of Laura Buruiana (winner of our 1st Listeners' Choice Award) and pianist Ferenc Vizi performing Debussy's cello sonata at Muzeul Naţional Cotroceni, and finally to Maison de la Radio studio 107 for "Le live de La Matinale" of Vincent Segal and Ballaké Sissoko playing "N'Kapalema" on cello and kora.

Let's start at Merchants of Green Coffee in Toronto and watch cellist Joseph Johnson (nominee of our 1st Listeners' Choice Award) with his colleagues from TSO Chamber Soloists—Joaquin Valdepeñas, Jonathan Crow, Mark Skazinetsky and Teng Li—perform Mozart's Clarinet Quintet (2nd movement) in a pop-up concert, then to New York where cellist Sumire Kudo and pianist Steven Beck play Magnus Lindberg's "Dos Coyotes" at New York Philharmonic Offstage in the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center, and finally to Boston for the Red Room at Cafe 939 where the Four Corners Quartet performs Eugene Friesen's "Maracaibo".
